Getting to know Chase:
- What is your biggest hope for the future?
“My biggest hopes are going to college, doing well, and eventually having a career. I like trying new things. My parents always encouraged me to find something I enjoy and can make a good career out of. I’m still trying to decide where I’ll go to school next year.”
- What quality do you most appreciate in your favorite teacher?
“At my old school, I didn’t really feel any connection. I’ve been at UH for two years, I came as a junior. Here the teachers get to know you and help you. They care about their students and try their best to help them understand material.”
- What do you wish you would’ve known sooner?
“I wish I would’ve known how to study better and focus on things I needed to get done. I’ve improved my study skills and feel like I’m more prepared for college since I switched to UH. I think if I would’ve attended UH earlier I would’ve been better at learning.”
"Chase is an example of how 'still waters run deep'," said Mrs. Jessica Lee, Chase's U.S. History instructor. "He is quiet, but also brilliant, creative, and kind. He always works hard and is fundamental to the trusting and respectful environment of our class. Chase makes every member of the class feel valued and appreciated. He deserves to be recognized for all this and more!"
