High School Honoree – Baltazar Mejia
Baltazar is one of the hardest-working, kind, and inquisitive students in class. He completes each assignment and project with focus and attention to detail. The last question is as important to the first question. When learning new material, Baltazar not only seeks to clarify information currently being presented, but he also asks questions that expand further into the topic. He is determined and will preserve to continue to ask questions in any area of content he seeks to master. Anything he is asked to do will be completed to the best of his ability. When he is asked to work with a partner, he makes sure the work is evenly divided and puts 110% into his part. He is always polite and good-hearted. One of his more unusual traits is no matter which table he is asked to work with, he will get along with everyone. But he will also make sure the group is focused and working. This shows a mature diplomacy that is rare to see in any student, especially a freshman. His future is bright with possibilities!
