University High School Student Spotlight - September 26, 2022

High School Honoree – Maggie Lawson

Maggie has taken a leadership role in journalism including volunteering to take pictures for team picture day. She has shown that she is dedicated to a task and will work hard to complete it. She is organized and serious about doing the best job she can on all assignments.

Getting to know Maggie:

  • What’s the grossest food you ever had to eat to be polite?

The grossest food I ever had to eat to be polite was probably alligator jerky.”

 

  • What’s your favorite type of music? Do you have a favorite song?

“My favorite music is country or bluegrass, because that’s what me and my dad would

listen to on car trips. My favorite song is probably ‘Ring of Fire’ by Johnny Cash.’”

 

  • What’s something you have accomplished that you are proud of?

“I’m very proud that I am almost done with High School and I made friends with so

many amazing people.”

 

“Maggie is an enthusiastic student who displays kindness and respect to all,” said Mrs. Hammonds, Maggie’s Journalism teacher. “She volunteers for assignments, such as taking pictures at media day for fall sports. She demonstrates how to be a leader.”
