Middle School Honoree – Marten Wallace
Marten is a team player. He is happy to assist his classmates and even teachers when needed. He is a pleasure in class, and he always has something insightful to add to discussions. He is strong both in academics and in his own personal hobbies.
Getting to know Marten:
- You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?
“Believer by Imagine Dragons. They are one of my favorite bands and I’ve been listening to that song for a while.”
- What is your favorite part of day?
“Probably after school. I get to play on my phone online with my friends.”
- If you could spend the Christmas holidays in any location, where would it be?
“I’d pick to spend that time with my family, in Kingsport and in Flagpond. In Kingsport we have some pets there and lots of space. Flagpond is cool because we can go hiking close by.”
“Marten is so intelligent,” said Ms. Darnell, Marten’s ELA teacher. “He is my ‘go to’ when I have any history questions in class! I really enjoy having his insight."
