Middle School Honoree – Braxton Smith (8th Grade)
Braxton is helpful and willing to serve his classmates without expecting anything in return. He is respectful and a great example to follow!
Getting to know Braxton:
- What is your favorite memory from the current school year?
“This was funny…earlier this year Mr. Weems wore a Rolling Stones t-shirt and a mullet wig. I think it was maybe for the Fall Festival? I can’t remember, but I do remember it was very funny.”
- If a friend from a different school asked you about University School, what would you tell them?
“I’d tell them we have more freedom than other schools. Some of my friends from other
schools have told me their school is very strict. It sounds like we have more freedom,
like eating outside and basically having free time during lunch.”
- What item would you like to bring as a show-and-tell to your classmates?
“I’d probably bring my dog, Winnie. Winnie is a miniature Schnauzer that is chocolate-colored. She probably weighs less than 10 pounds. She’s very energetic and friendly.”
“Braxton displays such a positive attitude!” pointed out Ms. Kristin Colson, Braxton’s Art teacher. “I love to see how his happiness comes out in his artwork. Braxton is studious and polite. He is always willing to serve and help clean up what others have left behind.”
