Greetings to our University, Training and Model School Alumni, we hope this message finds each of you doing well! As we wrap up the semester and final school week for 2021, I would like to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support of University School. The tradition of excellence which has been established at University School is one that we value tremendously and take great pride in continuing! We believe this is a direct impact of the commitment of our alumni, staff (both past and present) and ETSU school community. While the landscape in public education has changed drastically over the years, our pursuit for excellence and opportunity for our students have not waivered. While we are still working through the many adjustments and impacts of the pandemic, we are excited to share some highlights and accomplishments, which include:
- University School being ranked the 11th best high school in Tennessee by S. News & World Report
- University School being ranked the 15th best middle school in Tennessee by S. News & World Report
- Three University School students have received National Merit Semi-finalist or Commendation Honors
- State Finalists in Baseball, Track (Spring 2021) and Cross-Country (Fall 2022)
- Four faculty members earning doctoral degrees are scheduled to graduate December 2021
We hope that you all enjoy the highlights shared in the attached alumni newsletter and hope that you will consider joining us on Friday, January 7, 2022, for our homecoming game. We are excited to be able to pay tribute to our Training School alumni during this special event. Lastly, we want to thank you again for your ongoing support and hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
