Milhorn and Reis Present at NCTM

On Friday, April 23rd, 2021, Ms. Amanda Milhorn and Ms. Lisa Reis presented for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Annual Conference.  Their presentation was titled "Speaking, Reading, and Writing about Math."


The presentation focused on the NCTM Process Standard, Communication, the importantance for all learners to be able to speak, read, and write about mathematics.  The Burst session provided strategies for teaching math vocabulary, for reading and understanding word problems, and for articulating math ideas (verbally and written).
