High School Honoree – Cielo Cox
A UH senior, Cielo was nominated because she has taken the initiative to lead the Green Club in getting started and organized this year. Over fall break, the Green Club planted a fall garden in the club raised bed behind the school.
Getting to know Cielo Cox:
- If you had to work when you graduated high school but you didn’t need the money, what would you choose to do? “I would love to be a lawyer and do pro bono work for those who need it.”
- You can either leave your hometown forever or never leave your hometown. Which do you choose? “Definitely leave forever. I want to go out and explore new things.”
- Think about your favorite teacher you’ve had so far. What are the characteristics of this teacher? “Teachers who have empathy and are able to give students a safe space.”
“Cielo is a kind and thoughtful leader and well respected by her peers,” said Theater and Music teacher and Green Club Faculty Sponsor Allyson Ross.
