Elementary School Honoree – Solomon Cooper
Solomon has gone above and beyond to show kindness to all students. When he sees someone who needs a friend he is quick to jump in and be that. He gets along with everyone and helps our classroom be a place of acceptance for all.
Getting to know Solomon:
- What is your favorite thing about University School?
Learning. I really like to learn about science and math.
- What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
School is important because you really need to learn and it makes you smarter!
- What is something about yourself you want other people to know?
I always help people out. For example, if someone is sad I help them feel better with kindness.
“Solomon is a great example of what it means to be kind and respectful to others,” stated Dr. Kelli Barnett, Solomon’s 3rd-grade teacher. “He works hard at classwork, but also works hard at being a good friend to all students. He is patient and supportive of his peers. He has a positive attitude and his good attitude spreads to others. He has helped our class have a great start to the school year!”
