University Elementary School Student Spotlight - September 12, 2022

Elementary School Honoree – Zoey Nweze

Zoey is such a joy to have in class! On my very first day at school, she poked her head into my door and said, "Welcome to school!" It was so appreciated. Zoey is kind and respectful to her classmates as well as to her teachers. I also see her speaking to the younger students and it is always in a positive and uplifting manner.  She is uplifting and caring towards all of her peers. She works hard in the classroom and is respectful and kind to her teachers. Zoey shines her light in the school. If Zoey sees someone without a smile, she gives them hers! It is wonderful to have Zoey's bright and cheerful presence in our school.

Getting to know Zoey:

  • Who is your hero?

“My mom and dad are my heroes.  They care for me, and I love them very much.”

  • You can pick any occupation when you are an adult.  What are you choosing?

“I want to be a fashion designer because I like designing clothes.”

  • If a new student joined your class, what advice would you give him/her?

“First, I would welcome them and try to be friends with them. I would give them advice on how to have fun in 5th grade!”

“Zoey is a true light of joy in our classroom. She always has a smile on her face and a kind word for her classmates as well as her teachers!” pointed out Mrs. Davis, Zoey’s 5th-grade teacher.  Added Ms. Barrett, School Counselor: "Zoey is kind and caring. She shares her smile and positive personality with the school and uses her actions and words to uplift others. Zoey's bright and cheerful character brightens up those around her!"
