Tri-Cities Financial Aid Night

East Tennessee State University’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will host its annual Tri-Cities Financial Aid Night on Monday, Oct. 5 from 5-8 p.m. in the ballroom located on the third floor of the D.P. Culp Student Center.

Current and prospective college students and their families are invited to attend and receive free in-person support while submitting the 2027-28 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The 2027-28 FAFSA and ETSU’s General Scholarship Application open for the next academic year on Oct. 1.

"We are hosting this event to raise awareness about these applications as well as support students and their families with getting the FAFSA completed," said ETSU Financial Aid & Scholarships Director Catherine Morgan.

Financial Aid and TRiO's EOC counselors will be available to assist all prospective students with the FAFSA.

"I always recommend that students start the financial aid process as soon as possible," said Morgan.

Attendees, both the student and the parent, are encouraged to create a Federal Student Aid account and username (FSA ID) before the event. The 2027-28 FAFSA will use 2025 tax information for determining the Student Aid Index (SAI).
