Resident Director

Thank you for your interest in a Graduate Assistantship (GA) with the Department of Housing and Residence Life.

We are now recruiting for Resident Director (RD) positions for 2023-2024. Those interested in applying should review completely the Prospective RD Guidebook for the job description and qualifications, application deadline, interview dates, and information about the Housing and Residence Life.

A complete application packet consists of all of the items below, which must be printed and sent via instructions in the Prospective RD Guidebook:

• Your motivations for applying for the RD position
• A description of Residence Life/Student Life activities you have participated in and/or work experiences and skills you feel qualify you for the RD position
• Your definition of what community development means to you, and how you would establish a sense of community within a residential environment
• A resume that includes all employment you have held (full and part-time), starting with your most-recent position. Your resume should also address your educational background and GPA.

• ETSU Application for Employment

Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Those who are selected to interview will be notified by mid-March. An individual interview is required, and will be scheduled for those selected.

Note: RD applications are accepted and considered on an ongoing basis. Even if you miss the formal process, you can still apply to be an RD!
