Summer Housing Applications Now Being Accepted
Buc Ridge Apartments, Centennial Hall & Davis Apartments are Open for Summer 2026
We are pleased to be able to share updates regarding on-campus housing for Summer 2026. Please read below for important information regarding the application, billing, checking in/out, transitioning from offline buildings, and more!
Current residents, who are enrolled for both Spring 2026 and Fall 2026, are not required to take summer classes in order to live on campus during the summer. New incoming residents would need to be enrolled in a class to be eligible for Summer housing.
Applying
The Summer 2026 Housing Application has been made available to all Spring 2026 residents within the new StarRez housing portal. New incoming students with a Summer admit term will also be contacted when this is ready.
** Spring 2026 Residents, not returning to on-campus housing for Fall 2026, may only obtain Summer Housing through July 31 due to space constraints in preparation for Fall 2026 Move-In.
Assignments
Summer Housing assignments will be made throughout April/early May as applications are received. Students with an assignment at Buc Ridge for either Spring 2026 or Fall 2026 will be considered for Buc Ridge Summer Housing. All other students will be assigned to Centennial Hall or Davis Apartments for Summer.
*Notice: Buc Ridge Buildings A-O will be offline for Summer 2026. Any resident in these buildings for Spring that apply for Summer Housing will be assigned either to Buc Ridge Building P-U or to main campus, as space allows.
You will receive an email with your Summer housing assignment, along with additional information regarding confirmation of agreement and check-in information, at the time your assignment is made. Please note that we reserve the right to make changes to assignments at any time to ensure the best utilization of space. Assignments and roommates are subject to change.
Dining
ETSU Dining Services will be offering a Block 40 meal plan for Summer 2026, usable when the dining hall is open, from June 1 to August 15, Monday through Friday only. Instructions for how to apply for the Summer Block 40 plan will be communicated at a later date.
Billing
Students will be housed and billed using full Terms. If needing to stay for any portion of a given Term, students should select the option that includes their desired dates of stay. ** For instance, a student needing to come in June 20 for the rest of Summer should select Term 1 & 2 and plan to move-in on June 7 at the beginning of Term 1.

Spring Resident Transitioning to Different Summer Assignment
If you will be moving to Centennial/Davis/Buc Ridge Apartments beginning with the Pre-Summer Term and will not be staying on campus for the break, you may leave belongings in your current room until May 17 at your own risk. Arrangements will need to be made with your current RD or Area Coordinator to leave your items in the room. You must arrange to remove your items from your spring assignment and check into your summer assignment on May 17 between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm. Cell numbers for the staff person on call will be posted at each building desk and/or entrance area. No items are to be left in any Spring room beyond May 17.
**Students living in Dossett Hall, West Hall, and Buc Ridge Buildings A through O for Spring 2026 must move to their Summer assignment on Graduation weekend, due to renovation work starting in those areas. Any affected students will receive guidance as we move closer to that date.
If you will be moving to your summer assignment beginning anytime later than the Pre-Summer Term, you must properly check-out of your current hall/apartment by 6:00pm, Friday, May 8.
Checking Out of Your Spring Assignment
To properly check-out of your spring assignment, you must contact staff; remove all personal belongings; clean room; and return key/have ID decoded. At this time, staff will record your check-out date in the Residence portal. This is an important last step that requires you to check out with staff. Failure to properly check out may result in additional rent charges added to your account, as well as, $50 for rekey and $35 for improper check-out.
