Essential Skills, Strategies, and Expertise Necessary To Improve and Advance Low-resource Settings

You KNOW the importance of your classroom education, but can you really DO what you have learned?

The ESSENTIALS course is a hands-on, interactive, three-credit-hour course in which students learn to make a variety of products to address basic needs in low-resource areas, and more importantly, develop critical thinking skills, flexibility, and teamwork.

"Wonderful mission.  Exceptional hands-on learning immersion.  Great practical skill learning.  Nice facilitation balance.  I think to be a global leader today, regardless of field, you should be required to have an ESSENTIALS course."  - Regional Scholar
