When it comes to our Research Labs, Kenton Hall is the individual who ensures everything is running smoothly.
Maintaining equipment and maintenance schedules, following state and federal regulations, and making sure everyone has the right training are all parts of Kenton’s daily schedule.
Kenton has been with ETSU since 1981 and brings more than 40 years of experience to
our department. He began as a microbiologist working with anaerobic and microaerophilic
bacteria. This led to his first stint with Internal Medicine, working with the parasite
Strongyloides. He then moved into a clinical genetics role photographing chromosomes,
followed by work in Allergy and Immunology. Kenton has been our Lab Manager since
2009.
Kenton is a native to the Appalachian Highlands and grew up with the mountains as his playground. For several years, Kenton has been asked to give incoming residents and fellows a presentation showing what this area has to offer. His biggest hobby is photography. The landscapes and waterfalls of this region have been a focal point for him. Much of Kenton’s work is displayed in our Internal Medicine offices and clinics. Two of his favorite vacation spots to visit are NYC for the world class museums, food, and theater, and the Southwest for the national parks, Native American culture, and the solitude of the desert.
