What is ID BUC$?
ID BUC$ is the main debit card program on campus. Students, Faculty, and Staff can use ID BUC$ by depositing to their ID card! Accepted all over campus for food, printing, books/supplies, various offices, and vending, ID BUC$ is one of the most used features on campus! Best of all? ID BUC$ NEVER EXPIRES!

While you may have Dining or Flex Dollars on your BUC ID card that came with your meal plan, ID BUC$ lets you go above and beyond! By adding money to your ID BUC$ account, your funds are never at risk of expiring!

There are many locations around Johnson City that accept ID BUC$ for payment!
In addition to on-campus food locations, there are a number of off-campus restaurants and grocery stores that accept the card! We highlight our off-campus partners on our social media accounts throughout the semester! Many offer special deals during this time for only those who pay with ID BUC$! The benefits keep adding up!

Are you in the middle of a study session and need a quick snack? ID BUC$ is accepted at most Pepsi drink machines and many snack machines! Just swipe your card, and make your selection!

ID BUC$ is also accepted at on-campus departments! From paying for postage at the Post Office, purchasing books and supplies in the Bookstore, making a tuition payment at the Bursar's office, paying for CPA activity fees, to even using it to pay for a lost ID card in Campus ID Services! ID BUC$ is there for you!
Ways to Deposit
...Using the GET App!
Deposit 24/7 using the GET app or website!
Downloading the GET app and registering for an account opens endless possibilities for managing your BUC ID card! You can deposit funds using a credit card any day or night, check your account balance, track your transaction history, request funds from family and loved ones, and deactivate your BUC ID card if it is lost! (Deposits made through GET require a $3.00 convenience fee.)
...With Cash or Card!
Goes immediately onto your ID BUC$!
There are three machines on campus that accept cash and debit/credit cards. It is free to deposit using these machines!
Locations:
- 1st floor of Sherrod Library (across from Dunkin')
- 1st floor of D.P. Culp Student Center (in front of Mein Bowl)
- 2nd floor of D.P. Culp Student Center (bottom of grand stair case, next to elevators)
Just swipe your BUC ID card, insert the cash/card, and the funds are immediately ready for you to use! There is NO fee to load funds onto your cards using the reload stations!
For cash deposits using bills larger than $20, please visit the kiosk on the 2nd floor
of the Culp Center to make your ID Buc$ deposit! We have upgraded this machine for
your convenience.
ID Bucs & Dining/Flex Dollars
How is ID Bucs different from the Dining or Flex Dollars that come with your meal plan? Dining and Flex Dollars are added to your BUC ID card automatically when your meal plan is applied to your account. These funds are used with your meal plan to visit all retail locations on-campus. If you have a meal plan for both semesters, unused Dining and Flex Dollars will roll over from the fall to the spring semester. Keep in mind that Dining & Flex Dollars will expire at the end of the spring semester if not used.
