Devapiran Jaishankar, MD is Associate Professor of Medicine at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Oncology, and serves on the faculty of Quillen Colleges Department of Internal Medicine in its Division of Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Jaishankar serves as an attending physician at the Regional Cancer Center and the Johnson City Medical Center both in Johnson City, as well as Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He is also the Program Director.
After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at East Tennessee State University, Dr. Jaishankar spent several years as an attending physician and subsequently Chief of Staff at Pineville Community Hospital in Pineville, Kentucky. He returned to East Tennessee State University in 2008 to complete a fellowship in Medical Oncology.
Dr. Jaishankar is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology, and he has served as an editorial consultant for the American College of Physicians.
