Brief Bio
Devapiran Jaishankar, MD is Professor of Medicine at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City. A board-certified faculty member in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology he serves as Division Chief in the Division of Oncology-Hematology under the Department of Medicine at Quillen College of Medicine.
Dr. Jaishankar served as Program Director for the Medical Oncology Fellowship Program from 2015 to 2023. He completed his residency and fellowship training at ETSU after obtaining his medical degree at Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. As attending physician at the Regional Cancer Center and the Johnson City Medical Center he cares for patients with a variety of Hematology and Oncology diagnoses with a special focus on Thoracic, Genitourinary and Breast Oncology.
Dr. Jaishankar is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
