Services and access to tools related to media labs, computer rooms, video conferencing, audio-visual equipment, accessible technologies, and more.
ITS uses Citrix software technology to manage the virtual environments in ETSU computer labs. Students and faculty must install the Citrix receiver when connecting to the virtual GoldLab environment. The ITS Help Desk GoldLab webpage has detailed instructions.
ITS installs and maintains the computers in ETSU computer labs. The computers are purchased through Technology Access Fee (TAF) funding and are replaced on a three-year cycle. Access a list of computer labs through the ITS Help Desk.
The ETSU GoldLab server allows faculty and students to remotely access software housed on ETSU lab computers from anywhere through the Internet. GoldLab utilizes Cisco software and requires users to install the Citrix receiver. Faculty and students can access software packages such as SPSS, MATLAB, Minitab or Maple. The Help Desk GoldLab site has detailed instructions for installation and usage.

ETSU multimedia classroom equipment is purchased through Technology Access Fee (TAF) funding. ITS installs and maintains the equipment in multimedia classrooms. Faculty are encouraged to seek training to become familiar with the equipment in classroom. Faculty do not have administrative access to multimedia classroom computers but may request specific software be installed by contacting the ITS Help Desk.
