University School's Pickin' in the Schoolyard event published in June issue of VIPSEEN!
A big THANK YOU for all of those who came out to celebrate and perpetuate traditional music/art at “Pickin’ in the School-Yard” 2019!
Schedule of Events
3:00-3:40 Bluegrass Firelight (outside stage)
3:40-4:00 MS/HS Chorus (gym stage)
4:00-4:40 Old Time Ramblers (outside stage)
4:40-5:00 JAM Showcase (outside stage)
5:00-5:40 Roaring Jelly (outside stage)
5:40-6:00 Elementary Music (gym stage)
6:00-7:00 Bluegrass Ambassadors (outside stage)
Food Vendors:Tacora Food Truck and Buttermilk Sky Pies
Art Vendors:Charlotte’s Flowers, Buffalo St. Print Co.,JC Soap Co., Sweet and Dirtys, Threads of Hope, Chance, Foundation U School Apparel,and other student art /craft vendors
$3 suggested admission (excluding performers)
Please join us for an afternoon/evening of celebrating art on the front lawn and gymnasium of University School, including traditional music performances by our very own JAM students, Elementary/Middle/High School students, and bands from the ETSU Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies Program. $3 suggested admission (excluding performers). Food trucks and art vendors are for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, event will be moved inside. Please bring your family and friends out for some Friday fun!
